Falstaff 2021 - Chiaretto di Bardolino

The first Falstaff magazine was published in September 1980 with a print run of 15,000 copies. The name Falstaff, which refers to the Shakespearean figure of a bon vivant and gourmet, also known from the eponymous Verdi opera, came out rather accidentally. The first guide developed from the Falstaff red wine award - initially a part of the magazine, later a booklet, today the coveted red wine guide with over 1,500 rated red wines from Austria. Soon the Austrian Wine Guide joined in, initially a modest booklet, today the standard work in terms of reviews and descriptions for Austrian wines. With the VieVinum wine fair in the Hofburg, an international edition of the wine guide was then also regularly printed in English.

Antique rose bright and clear, delicate scents of black cherry and strawberry and delicate flowers. The palate is round and velvety with a slightly sweet fruit in the final.
