winemag - top 100 wines 2022
“Fourth edition of the Top 100 Selection of the Best Italian Wines by WineMag.it. The selection took place during a strictly blind tasting to meet a few yet simple requirements as in the past editions.
It stays for a suggestion on dozens of everyday wines featuring an outstanding quality-price relationship.
The Top 100 Selection of the Best Italian Wines includes those wines showing a more technical identity - yet good enough to represent their land of origin - as well as those more emotional wines conveying all the craftsmanship and the manual care of the winemaker.
Mainly focusing on their typical characteristics and the respect for the varietal”
CHIARETTO DI BARDOLINO 2020, ALBINO PIONA. A nice delicate and elegant nose, with traces of perfectly ripe red wild berries and sweet spices. Hints of the Mediterranean bush enrich an already positive framework. To the palate the fruit can be recognized in all its whole, the nectar does not lose anything about that elegance to the nose though. In the mouth it is tight and fresh at first, leaving the pace to the fruit and its softness – at last, all its components coexist in a superlative way: fruity, salty, dry. Good to taste now, even better in the medium-long term.
