Four days of Festival in Custoza, a small village in the municipality of Sommacampagna, which is celebrating 48 years of the Custoza Doc, a wonderful white wine that is renown in the whole world and is produced among these morainic hills surrounding to the southeast the Lake Garda. The producers are at the forefront of the wine’s success. For years, they have believed in this wine and worked with passion and dedication in order to improve its quality, to protect its uniqueness, to enhance the bouquet and aroma, to value its different interpretations. The Custoza Wine Festival, now a longstanding tradition, is the vital testimony of the strong and well-routed ties between producers and their land, with the aim to produce a wine of excellence. But the Custoza Wine Festival is not just about wine. Custoza has also been the scene of two historic battles of the Italian Risorgimento. The hills that today host the vineyards were the theatre of fierce combats to build Italy. These hills pay testimony to those facts still today. History, culture and sustainable production are intertwined to give life to a countryside that we want to preserve and value. The Bianco di Custoza is the essence of this territory, known as the “Terre del Custoza”. At the winery stands, you will find first of all the white doc, produced with more varieties of grapes, which allows for a unique wine, young, fresh, and aristocratic. You will also find the Custoza Superiore, Custoza Spumante and the sweet Custoza Passito. At the Festival, you will taste the best local specialties. There will also be lots of games for children, for a true family-friendly event. There will also be guided visits to the local historic monuments. The market of local products.
