"The foundations on which the winery Albino Piona still operates today are those built 130 years ago by Albino, a man of passion, who had believed in wine production. Teachings that were collected by another Albino, his nephew, first enlarging the cellar, bringing inside the most modern technologies, then starting a path of expansion of the estates, extending them in the most suitable areas of Custoza and Bardolino, as Sommacampagna, Valeggio, Sona and Villafranca. Massimo and Alessandro, sons of the legendary Albino, are the current owners of the 46 hectares of vineyards of the company, and to them goes the merit of having introduced some particular innovations, such as that of macerated Custoza, and continued to enhance the tradition of sparkling Verde Piona."
