SLOW WINE 2016
SLOW WINE – guida 2016
Slow Wine Etitore
Life: the modern structure of the winery – where arts exhibitions take place as well – does not disregard its more than 100-year-long tradition. Present times are linked together with history through a thin thread. If you look at Custoza village from the winery, you can notice the place where everything began: the Belvedere. Silvio, Monica, Alessandro and Massimo are Albino Piona's sons and daughter and run the family-business by binding the art of making good wine and organizing arts exhibitions of local painters.
Vineyards: all around the winery, you can notice green along the vineyards. A wide range of both red and white berry grape varieties are grown. The plants have been renovated: the guyot based system arranges the grape harvest for mechanization, except for those grapes which are destined to raising. The yield per hectare is willingly very low so as to grant the features of the territory to come out at best.
Wines: every single detail is taken into consideration both in production and in the cellar. Silvio Piona carries out an outstanding job with the help of an independent enologist: his wines reflect the territory in an honest and clear way. They are fresh, rich in perfumes and minerals.
Custoza (DOC Albino Piona) Vino Quotidiano: tasty and dynamic, it features a strong acid and savory push. It is perfect for summer aperitifs.
Title – Vino Quotidiano: excellent price-quality relationship.
Bardolino DOC Albino Piona features a nice bouquet of red berries and spicy notes.
Corvina Campo Massimo is very pleasant for its freshness. The hints of sour cherry and cloves grant an exciting experience.
Bardolino Chiaretto DOC Albino Piona pleasantly recalls wild berries and Mediterranean herbs as well.
Estro di Piona Blanc is a fine Charmat method on a Rondinella basis.
